Will installing early start my data plan validity period?

For most plans, no — though activation rules depend on your specific product:

  • Most Plans (Activates at Destination): Your validity period only begins when your device connects to a supported local network after landing. Installing early will not waste any days or data.
  • Immediate Activation Plans: Your validity period begins as soon as the eSIM is installed. For these plans, we recommend installing shortly before departure or upon arrival using airport Wi-Fi.
